University of Birmingham Offers Scholarships of Civil Engineering

Level of Study: Any Undergraduate
Subject area: Civil Engineering
Nationality: Overseas (Non-EU)
Type of Award: University
Deadline for applying: 01/10/2014

Award Description
This scholarship is awarded to overseas students entering their first year of an undergraduate programme in Civil Engineering in recognition of excellent academic performance. Scholars who continue to meet high academic standards may be eligible for the renewal of their scholarship for each year of study.
The Achievement Award will be automatically retained for each year of study, provided the student proceeds normally to the next level. Students who fail on academic grounds to proceed to the next level of study will forfeit both these awards.

Value of Award

This scholarship is valued at £2,500 and will be awarded as a tuition fee contribution which will be paid directly to the School of Civil Engineering on behalf of the award holder. The award will be automatically renewed each year of study provided the receipient makes normal academic progression.
Eligibility Criteria
The successful candidate will be classed as Overseas for fee purposes and will have achieved an AAB at A level, or its equivalent. Scholars cannot be in receipt of a fully-funded fees scholarship from an external body. Part-funded students should contact the Admissions Tutor for eligibility.
How to Apply
There is no special application process – the awards will be made automatically to all eligible students admitted to the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Birmingham who apply by the end of September to commence their studies in the October of their year of entry.

  1. Wow!! This is so interesting! Well, if I don't want to involve in scholarship campaign but I want to attend University of Birmingham directly, what should I do?

  2. For all undergraduate courses (apart from the International Foundation Programme), you should apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Information about the application process and the online application form can be found at the UCAS website. Good luck!:D

    1. You can see from above info that your education fees will be paid around £2,500, so you just have to pay only for your living costs like daily meals, dormitory, and transportation which may be around £200 per month:)
